Why do I need to take a refresher course?
The SIA introduced new requirements for licence renewals. All Door Supervisors must now have updated physical intervention skills and terror threat awareness training to renew their licence.
Do I still need a First Aid certificate?
Yes, just like the initial course, you must have a valid Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate with at least 12 months validity remaining.
When should I take this course?
We recommend booking your refresher course at least 3-4 months before your current licence expires to allow time for the course and the SIA processing times.
